What is OOZM's Mission?

OOZM's mission is to create the most relevant social search engine out there by reaching out to user's needs and allowing them to play an active role in generating the search results page.

How can I add a URL to OOZM?

In order for you to go and add URLs, you need to first find out a Category Page or a Keyword URL page that you want to add your URL too. Once you find it, in the search results section you will see a link on your right under the category Search Control called "Add URL". Click on that link and you can immediately add a URL to that keyword.

How does OOZM approve a URL?

OOZM does not approve URLs. You do! You are the editor of this site. You and other members at oozm handles the moderation of adding URLs to our directory. An added URL is automatically submitted to the URL Queue which is a temporary holding place for URLs waiting for sufficient votes to surface to the search results pages.

How can I add content to a keyword?

You will need to go to the keyword URL page by doing a seach on the keyword that you want to add contents to. That should take you directly to the keyword URL page. Once you are at the keyword URL page, you can add contents by clicking on the link 'Edit this page'.

How does OOZM approve contents and articles?

Is OOZM a traditional search engine?

No, we are not. We provide tools that empower the user's of the oozm community in generating results that are most relevant. In contrast, traditional search engines are driven by some sort of mystery algorithm.

Why are you using wikimedia technology?

We are using wikimedia technology because we wanted to launch this idea as soon as possible to get a feel of it. We may choose to keep this technology or change it with our own in the future. We have added many features on top of the basic Wikimedia technology to provide this services at oozm.
