Introduction to ooZm.com - New way of searching for information

Why oozm?

For the past few years I have been unhappy with the search results that I retrieve from major search engines. I often go through two to three pages in order to find information that is relevant to my search query. During that time, I have skipped over advertisers who have been paid to be on top of the search results page.

Further, there is a lot of spam that I have to skip through in this process. Pay-Per-Click Search engines have contributed immensely to this great inefficiency. Also, there is the link-popularity portion of the major search engine's mystery algorithm that brings up search results that are totally contrary to my search query. I know this happens, because these popular sites have so many incoming links referring to them. However, this does not mean that they are relevant to my particular search query.

Finally, once you find some search results that you think are relevant to the search term; you then have to click on the link and enter yet another page. All of these inefficiencies have made me think and ponder about a new and more effective way of searching for information.

As far as I am concerned, search engines have only one ultimate purpose for their existence; which is to return URL results that are only relevant and significant. As such, I am quite dissatisfied with the whole "black box" and "mystery algorithms" that allows these particular irrelevant URLs to surface to the top of the results page. These frustrations have motivated me to come up with a new and more relevant method of searching - OOZM.com - the new wave of search engines for the next century!

How is oozm different from traditional search engines?

OOZM defers in many ways to the traditional search engines that we are accustomed to. In brief, it differs in its ability to show everything and hide nothing. OOZM allows people to decide what URLs comes up to the top of any search engine through various methods. Some of which include social book marking, tagging, adding URLs, deleting URL and referring URLs. OOZM stands out among traditional search engines, because it is effective for any search results page for any keyword query.

To top that, oozm will allow people to add relevant information on any keyword results page. What that means for you as the end user is that you don't have to go to other pages to find relevant information for your search query. You can receive it right there at the bottom of the search results page. Indeed, people will have the power to add and edit any information that is relevant to that keyword! This is a unique and different approach to search engines that once again sets oozm apart as an innovative new way of searching.



How does the content engine work at oozm?

The content engines works in a unique way at oozm. The contents for any search terms (keywords) can be added by people. In fact, anyone can add, modify or delete information on our site. Hence, each keyword URL can be filled with contents by other people.

If people find that the information is bogus; then they can modify it instantly. Our search engine depends on the people who use it by putting them at the fore front rather than as backbenchers. They will dictate what information is displayed to others.



Can I advertise on oozm?
 

Yes, you can most certainly advertise through our own form of advertising. In fact, oozm allows for a unique form of advertising that is unlike any other search engine. An advertiser can actually buy the "keyword" for an entire year and have the rights to change the advertisements on that particular keyword search results page. Basically the advertiser will own the rights to that keyword page. To make it easy, I will even sell the keyword in a keyword URL form such as http://www.oozm.com/paris_hilton to allow the advertiser to easily market and own that keyword at oozm. Refer to the picture on the right to visualize the space. Now, consider this; when you buy a keyword URL; you are allowed to insert anything you want, including Google Adsense or other third party ads as long as they are appropriate content.

What is a keyword URL?
 

Basically, if you go to Google.com and search for a keyword like xyz; you are bombarded by search results pages with high ranking URLs. You then have to visit these URLs to find further information on your subject matter. In fact, Google's bot intends that these URLs be ranked that way. Well, I must admit some are relevant, but many are spams while others are by advertisers who fool the bots to make it to the top. Hence, we really don't wind up with the right URLs to locate information on the particular topic xyz.

However, at oozm.com, we eliminate this tedious process and provide the user with a more informative experience. In fact, when you search for xyz on oozm; you are sent to a very user specific site http://www.oozm.com/xyz. Here, you will notice at the top; a list of URLs added by members of oozm (URLs are listed based on a number of tags, book marks and referrals by people). On the same page, below those search results, oozm will provide you with information on the topic xyz. This information is unique and individualistic, because it is provided by people like yourself who have added and edited the content to meet their specific criteria.

Therefore, oozm is a social search engine with contents for each and every keyword which is driven by the people and not by a mystery bot!

 


How do you become an affiliate and how much can I make?
 

Well, it is pretty strait forward. Once the site is up, on the top of the page you will see a link for "Affiliate Signup". Click on that link to register. You must be a member before you signup and take advantage as an affiliate. Please feel free to visit the site. Take a glance at it. If you like it, you should signup as an affiliate and refer people immediately.

Once you become an affiliate, oozm will provide you with a referral id and a URL. You could use that URL to send visitors to our site.

Good keywords are quite rare and it would be wise to take advantage of these keywords. These keywords won't last for long. Also, if you have a site that receives a good number of visitors, then don't wait too long. Start referring people immediately and begin earning some great commission.

There are over 500 million unique search terms and there could be over 1 Million quality search terms that people search for on a regular basis.     I received a large number of these requests as the word spread out and I have answered with a solid Yes. You can reserve them as long as you pay for them as well. You can send me an email at support@oozm.com with the keywords you like. I can then check and let you know if they are available for reservation. I have sold many of them already!

  2. When do you expect the site to be launched?

    I expect the site to be launched on the 5th of May or the 7th of May, 2006.

  3. How much are the keyword URLs?

    I am considering selling each keyword for $100 US per year. Initially, I will sell them for a year and raise some money for my project capital.

  4. What is your goal and intentions for this site?

    I intend for people to think differently and effectively when it comes to searching for information. At this age, information accessibility and management is paramount for any business. Hence, I believe the large search engines like Google, MSN and others are just making us believe that there they are the only scope for information searching. This is done based on their perception of information availability. However, wouldn't you rather have the information provided your way with you in mind? Well, in order to really move forward we need to put aside these old school methods and invite a new and more socially welcoming alternative OOZM. I want people to open themselves to new opportunities and to explore different ways. We honestly don't have time to waste anymore. Time is of great essence.

    My goal is to initially sell 100,000 keyword URLs to help me raise enough money to make this a successful and fulfilling project for all of us. I do not have the access to Angel Investors or Venture capital people as a new project leader. Hence, I have to go this route hoping to revolutionize the concept of information accessibility.

  5. What kind of technology do you have behind this and isn't this kind of thing on the market already?

    Technology is not new to us, but the idea is most definitely unique and effective. In fact, I combined several unique ideas and developed this concept with the intention of catering to the search engine world.
